A scar prominent above his left brow that trails down his eye and stops midway through his cheek.He's often seen wearing a weathered, dark-toned ensemble layered with worn Bantha hide leather and a Tauntaun fur lined half-cape.His attire gives him a scoundrel wanderer look rather than a traditional Jedi.His sabers hilt is clipped neatly on his belt, tucked away under one of the flaps to his coat to keep it from direct view.

Theren finally finds Jiala inside the Temple, but she’s already gone. The pure shock of it all completely overwhelms him. He drops beside her and gathers her into his arms, almost unable to comprehend what he's seeing.The guilt and grief overwhelming. His connection to the Force becomes chaotic. Death throughout the Temple, terrified Jedi, fleeing Padawans, the clones hunting them as if they hardly knew them at all..With his senses overloaded and guard down, a Clone approaches from behind. His instincts should have warned him.. but they didn't.Turning far too late, a vibroblade catches him down across the left brow, past his eye and re-catching before lifting away halfway down his cheek.Theren reacts purely on instinct, throwing the clone away with the Force, but he doesn't pursue it. Not right away. The pain radiating within his face nothing compared to how his heart felt as he looked back down at his Padawan.He failed her.He failed them.Welling with rage and heartbreak, his hand curled around his sabers hilt and ignited the blade. As blaster bolts fired his way, his wrist flourished the hilt with ease.Deflecting the bolts back, he manages to disarm the Clone. Turning towards them, rage welling in his eyes, he lunges.Swiping the blade to the upper right, the clones arm left his torso. Then another slash; grazing the front of the clones armor plate.Watching as the clone landed on their back, Theren felt the emotions swell within the Kyber crystal.Glaring down into the Clones visor, he rose the sabers blade with a shaken hand.Slowly, deliberately, he lowered the blade so it hovered above the Clones chest.Unstable breaths left the torn Jedi, blood dripping from the fresh wound to his flesh. His blade begun to crackle unevenly, the hilt warming in his hand.Then - with a sharp breath, Theren pulled the saber back and plunged it down into the Clones chest.Yelling out, rage overcame him.Theren fractured, and so did his Kyber crystal.

Theren's Saber Hilt.
This Saber is primarily made from durasteel, reinforced with phrik components, featuring copper-toned electrum accents and intricately engraved metal grip panels.It houses a blue Kyber Crystal and was given to him by his Jedi Master, Kolder Jirrig.His blade will flicker for a split second when he puts excessive strain on it.The saber also produces a rougher, uneven hum, especially when he's angry or emotionally compromised.

Theren's Kyber Crystal was once whole, but after the events of Order 66 his Crystal suffered a fracture, because he, himself, was left fractured in his beliefs.He still believes in the Jedi and some of their ideals, but his interpretation of justice has become corrupted by vengeance.It will glow brighter when strained and will even become overheated afer prolonged fighting, causing the saber to sputter or briefly destabilize, forcing Theren to rely on his skill rather than brute-force saber power.This is also the reason why he wears thermal resistant gloves.
